Welcome | |

I hope you have had a good holiday and are feeling refreshed, I am!. A good break always gives you time to reflect on trends and happenings in the industry and market. The more I read and study what is happening on the internet the bigger and more widespread Video on the web is becoming. I don’t mean sharing videos via bittorrent or things like that (although this is big) I mean Video within web pages themselves as a a graphic element to express your story, your proposition, your message to customers, site visitors and users for training. Flash is making this possible. Many advertisements are now also making use of Video for the web with Flash. The great thing about the web is that the overall production quality does not have to be that high - but the techniques and direction are. I found an excellent DVD explaining how to shoot a top quality video. No I am not getting paid to plug this, I believe in how good the product is and how important it is to someone who wants to put video on their site. You can have a cheap video camera and still be highly effective if you know how to shoot with it properly. You can have the best equipment in the world and still produce a shockingly bad video if you don't know what you are doing. http://www.shootlikeapro.tv is a DVD and book from a highly experienced Video Producer that within 30 minutes takes you through the all of what you need to know to start producing a decent video. This is something we are going to be exploring more and more of in the coming year in many different ways. |
